The Ezzy Infinity: a freeride/slalom sail with unsurpassed durability, dependable low-end and supreme top speed.
The Infinity contains no monofilm and is built to the same high standard as their Wave SE.
The deep, draft-forward profile delivers the Infinity up to a fast plane even without pumping.
Two removeable cams allow the Infinity to be used as a no cam, single cam or twin cam sail. The name Infinity refers to this sail's infinite capacity.
New for 2006, new colours, new size range and double clew grommets to accommodate sailors that want a higher clew.
The 2006 Infinity is fitted with the same cams that were introduced to the 2005 Infinity. It is no longer a batten driven cam as we
had prior to 2005. That means that you don't need to tension and
de-tension the battens when you rig and de-rig. Just slide the mast in,
outhaul, pop the cams on the mast, then downhaul. This cam is also unique
because it will fit ANY mast made within the past 10 years, from a skinny to
an old fat Fiberspar. No other company's cam can do this. David Ezzy achieves this
with three different cam models, plus a series of pockets that "interface"
with the cam and sail. The customer measures his mast circumference with the
ruler we include, then looks on a chart to find the correct cam pocket and
cam. The object is to have the sleeve pulled tight at the cam.
The new cam gives more shape in the Infinity. As the outhaul is reduced, the
Infinity gets more profile forward which gives it great low-end power. For
strong wind, The Infinity can take up to 5.0 cm of positive outhaul. The
Infinity can also be used as a no cam, or a single cam. David Ezzy says it works the
best with both cams in, but for someone wanting a bit softer feel, they
might like the lower cam in and the upper cam removed.
