NEW SAIL FOR 2009
The 2009 Freewave, a welcome addition to the Ezzy Sail quiver for 2009. Bullet proof Freestyle/Wave sail with Ezzy's legendary Spectra X-Film cloth and high quality handmade finish. Identical to the new 2009 Wave Panther except for:
- Battens #3 and #4 seams have less profile close to the mast.
- Spectra X-Film cloth, no Technora
- Slightly less reinforcement in the leech.
Doubles as a brilliant flatwater sail with slightly flatter profile, flips from gybe to gybe with ease, balanced and easy to handle, simple to rig, fast and responsive to use.

The Freewave is built with Ezzy's exclusive Spectra X-Film and contains no monfilm. And yet, the Freewave is lighter than most monofilm wave sails. Spectra X-Film is used in Ezzy Sails to last much longer in the sun than conventional monofilm used in most other windsurfing sails.
David Ezzy has spent extensive time scaling how the sails feel from big to small sizes. His goal is to make all the sizes feel like a 4.7 or 5.0. The 2009 sails are designed so that larger sails have a leech profile that makes them stiffer and the smaller sails have a leech profile that makes them softer.
