What's New for 2010??
Lighter Feel: The 2010 sails have a lighter feel than the 2009 sails. This is noticeable while wave riding, jibing and basic sail handling
New TriLite Cloth: All sail lines utilize our new TriLite sail cloth. It is called TriLite because it consists of film, woven scrim, and X ply. A significant weight savings come from the Trilite's thinner film; 37.5 microns, compared to 100 micron film used in our Spectra X ply. The woven scrim combined with the X ply provides excellent tear strength. The overall weight of the TriLite is 40% less than our Spectra X ply.
Improved durability: We are using a stronger Dacron cover on the battens, which has improved scuff resistance when rigging on asphalt or gravel.
Mesh pocket in pad for downhaul line: Makes rigging faster. After downhauling, just roll up your line and shove it in the mesh pocket
The 2010 Infinity is built strong! It has new cloth in the leech. This cloth is made just for Ezzy. The yarns are 100% Technora. Technora is an aramid, like Kevlar, but has much better UV and flexing durability than Kevlar. The warp (longitudinal) has five yarns per inch, which gives it extremely low stretch up the leech. The stretch in the warp direction is 40%less than our regular Spectra X film. The X yarns are at 22 degree and are spaced at 3/4" (the spectra X yarns are 1.5" apart on the old cloth). In addition, the new cloth has much thinner film, 63 microns as compared to the102 microns for the X film. The thinner film gives better UV life because it does not get as brittle as thicker film. The UV testing we did showed the new cloth to have about double the UV life of our superior Spectra X Film. In addition, the new cloth is about 25% lighter than our standard Spectra X film.

The 2010 Infinity is built with Ezzy's exclusive Spectra X-Film, Technora and the new Trilite Cloth and contains no monfilm. And yet, the Wave Panther (2) is lighter than most monofilm wave sails. Spectra X-Film, Technora and Trilite Cloth are used in Ezzy Sails to last much longer in the sun than conventional monofilm used in most other windsurfing sails.
