Situated 110 km north of Perth, Lancelin is an internationally renowned windsurfing location, famous for the annual Ledge Point to Lancelin Ocean Classic. With a field of over three hundred competitors the 'Classic' is the biggest windsurfing event in Australia.

Lancelin and Ledge Point have become very popular, particularly as a base for European windsurfers who spend two to three months in WA each summer. The large bay in Lancelin is surrounded by shallow limestone reefs and provides a picturesque learning and slalom area whilst the waves around the passages are ideal for huge jumps and easy riding. Many a memorable sail has been had here - a definite favourite. Its proximity to Perth is a bonus!
